# Doddapatre dosa with besan zunka

 



  Doddapatre or sambar soppu is a commonly used home medicine for cold, sore throat, nasal block and bronchitis. In this recipe Dosa made with doddapatre..  Both healthy and tasty..

   Soak dosa rice overnight and blend with oil fried doddapatre leaves. Add salt as per taste, mustard and cumin seeds for the flavor. Prepare dosa as thin as possible like neer  dosa.

    Zunka or jhulka is made with besan.. Goes well with this dosa. Mustard, cumin, cut green chili, coriander leaves added to oil. Paste of  Besan with water is brought to boil. Salt and lemon juice as per taste. Cook for minimum15 minutes so that raw smell vanishes.

Gujje manchuri


 

      Gujje means raw tender jackfruit and preparing manchuri with this is most amazing idea. This was my long time dream too.

      Remove skin of raw jackfruit and put in pressure cooker for three whistles. Make it into small pieces and prepare batter with besan, rice flour, chilli powder, salt and corn flour. Dip the pieces into batter and deep fry.

       Now prepare gujje manchuri  with fried pieces, oil, oinion and capsicum , ginger garlic paste and sauces. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

       This is one of my favorite recipes as it blends desi raw jackfruit with modern form of  manchuri..

Gujje chana sambar

 


Raw Jackfruit or gujje ( halasina kayi) is a good source of vitamin c and protein. Combining it with chana makes the sambar tasty. Like any sambar cook toor dal and cana and pieces of gujje after removing skin and thick inner part. For masala I have used cumin, coriander, mustard, tamarind, turmeric, urad dal, curry leaves and red chilly. Bring to boil and later seasoning done with mustard and red chilly.
While eating with  hot rice mash chana and gujje pieces a little to get the most amazing taste..
