Mavinakayi rasagojju

This is very simple recipe of raw mango. You can eat it with rice directly or as a side dish with curd rice on a hot summer afternoon. It goes well with chapati also if you adore sour!

Pressure cook a raw mango and squeeze the pulp. Discard the inner shell and outer covering. Now add salt, chopped green chilli ( birds eye chilli if you have) , coriander leaves and mash and mix with fingers. Season with fried mustard, urad dal and aoesopheteda.

Don't try this if you have acidity problem. But this is very simple way to give a tangy treat to your taste buds...

# Mangarasa

This is a traditional raw mango chutney popularly called as mangarasa in  my native.
It tastes sweet, sour and tangy simultaneously which is the reason for its popularity.
Fry mustard, cumin, fenugreek, red chilli, aoesfoeteda and blend with thin slices of raw mango( after peeling). Add jaggery and salt while blending. Don't add too much water. After blending make it to boil with curry leaves. This can be stored for a week. This goes well as a side dish. If you are not feeling like having food in this summer  just try this with simple curds rice.

# sugarcane dosa

Here is purely desi recipe of sugarcane dosa. If you are a sugarcane lover like me then just go for it.
Soak dosa  rice for four hours and blend with preheated sugarcane juice ( instead of adding water while blending). Add little rice to make dosa soft and pluffy. Little turmeric will make it colourful.
Let the batter get fermented over night and then add salt as per taste. Don't make the batter too watery. On oil greased tawa make soft and pluffy sugarcane dosa  on medium flame. Roast both the sides.  Nicely flavoured, colourful desi sugarcane dosa  is ready to taste.
Serve it hot with ghee, chutney or coconut milk.
As you know sugarcane is energetic, good for digestion and recommended in jaundice.

# white onion chutney

White onions have anticarcinogenic property, boost immunity, good for asthamatics and help in digestion. Compared to routine red onions they have mild flavour.

Try this yummy and healthy white onion chutney. In a pan with cooking oil fry Bengal gram, putani, cumin, mustard, curry leaves, green chilli, garlic and finely chopped white Onions. Blend with little water and salt as per taste.

For garnishing add fried mustard and red chilli. White onion chutney goes well with dosa, roti, chapati.
